Liberty Latin America NOC - Network Support Admin in Puerto Rico

What´s the Role?

As the NOC Network Support Administrator you will be responsible for providing operational and technical support in 24/7 network monitoring environment. Solve and identify root cause of network alarms. Create, document and follow up trouble tickets regarding network outages and assist network personnel on restoration plan.

How can you add value?

  • Follow established safety practices and procedures.

  • Understanding of telecommunications technologies – TDM, IP, VoIP.

  • Operate Personal Computer, or similar devices, to access required systems, equipment and data bases. Build, modify and correct information as appropriate.

  • Coordinate clearing of trouble with other groups and organizations. May work directly with customers.

  • Work with other team members, departments, and vendors as needed to ensure that all work efforts are done in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Demonstrate a high proficiency in resolving most complex problems within the wireless system.

  • Work independently.

  • Perform emergency response as vital. May be required to be available for after-hour projects, on-call duty, and overtime.

  • Involved in network upgrades and changes including the implementation of new products and services.

  • Analyze data and performance metrics for possible problem areas.

  • Use computer or work inputs to create, modify, and /or accurate database contents.

  • May assist other technicians as directed by management.

  • May Drive Company vehicle.

  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

  • Other functions may be assigned.

What do you need?

Education and/or Experience:

High School graduate. Associate degree preferred.

1-2 years of experience in Telecommunications industry

Experience with system diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem solving

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work daily, evening or night hours; overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends and holidays as required. Must assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned, and applicable.

  • May require valid state driver’s license or CDL, whichever is applicable, and satisfactory driving record check.

  • Must have satisfactory job performance on current position, relating to work performance, attendance, and safety, to be considered for this position.

  • Understanding of Data Network topologies.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Network Operating Systems.

  • Skills building system support documentation including instructional procedures, provisioning guidelines, test, plans, problem documentation and functional process flows

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English).

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel).

  • Strive to work and produce under pressure with minimum supervision.

  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
