DESCRIPTION

About the Position

Lane County Technology Services is seeking a Senior Programmer & Systems Analyst to join our Business Services team. This role primarily supports and develops C# applications for divisions within Public Works such as Roads & Bridges, Engineering & Constructions Services, and Waste Management. This position also supports, administers, and develops integrations with vendor applications. In this role, you will need to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting to evolving priorities while working in a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer and develop C#/.NET applications.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to manage and integrate data.

  • Work on the configuration, integration, and programming of vendor systems.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve application performance for various Public Works divisions.

  • Support legacy applications that may include MS Access, Visual Basic, and other technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Training:

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or a related field.

    Experience

  • Four years of systems analysis and programming experience that demonstrate increased responsibility in application software maintenance and development.

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in C#/.NET programming

  • Practical experience with Model, View, Controller (MVC)

  • Adept at leveraging the Entity Framework

  • Strong understanding of the .NET Framework

  • Well-versed in MS SQL Server database management and development

  • Extensive experience with WinForms and WebForms

    Special Requirements:

  • If required to drive, must be in possession of a valid driver's license at time of application, and a valid Oregon Driver's license by the time of appointment.

  • As a condition of employment, this position requires individuals pass a criminal background investigation through the Criminal Justice Information Services, and a security clearance as required by State and Federal regulatory requirements.
