Job Description

IFF has an opening at its Pryor, Oklahoma manufacturing facility for a Process Engineer in the Manufacturing Technology group. The person in this position will provide daily engineering support to the food ingredient operations and develop strategies/systems to improve manufacturing performance at the Pryor site. The position also utilizes Process Engineering and Operations expertise to support capital projects and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities Include

  • Conduct work activities and demonstrate leadership behavior consistent with IFF Core Values.

  • Use process expertise to ensure facility and personal adherence to regulatory, company policies, good manufacturing, and food safety requirements.

  • Interface with R&D, Engineering, Operating, and Business resources to develop innovations and coordinate product rollouts in facility.

  • Provide technical leadership and support to plant capital projects, including design, capital justification, PSM, and commissioning activities.

  • Provide daily technical support to Operations including process optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and risk analysis.

  • Work closely with production management to develop production strategies and systems that improve manufacturing performance.

  • Mentoring of production resources – build technical knowledge and demonstrate leadership.

  • Drive focus on innovation and continuous improvement in engineering and manufacturing activities.

  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM); Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS); and Continuous Improvement programs.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or another related engineering field with applicable industrial experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant

  • Self-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

  • Statistical analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food ingredient manufacturing or related industry

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a team environment using data driven analysis.

The position requires frequent work within the manufacturing environment, following all safety rules and procedures. Travel is minimal but may be required to support projects and initiatives between manufacturing sites.
