Hilcorp Energy Company 24-242.B - Sr. Wells Support Foreman in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

Job Objective: Manages the daily operations of company personnel and contract crews performing activities in support of PBU well work, operations, and drilling. The work teams and facilities under this position include the GandI plant, the HWP plant, Fluids Trucking, Drilling Tool Services, Hardline Rig-Up, Well Tie-In, Tree Replacement, BPV setting and pulling, Downhole Diagnostics, and Wellhouse replacement and repair.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage both the Fluids Team and the Well Support team in their support of multiple work groups (Drilling, Wells, and Operations) and across multiple fields (PBU, MPU, and Islands).
  • Manage the annual budget for Fluids and Well Support which includes four center centers and multiple AFEs.
  • Be a safety leader and drive safety culture . Participate in daily toolbox and weekly safety meetings. Lead the EHS efforts.
  • Prioritize work activities, people, and assets to maximize the overall value of these support groups.
  • Participate in lift cost meetings, hold performance reviews, and get performance feedback from operations leadership.
  • Supervise both company and contract employees.
  • Utilize leadership and operational skills to improve performance and deliver value.
  • Perform reviews of the existing procedures and standards to encourage innovation and continually improve.
  • Develop the short and long-range plans for these teams.
  • Work with the Operations Engineers on a regular basis to maximize the value of the AFE spend.
  • Process field invoices.
  • Work with other Hilcorp employees and Teams in a professional and collaborative manner.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Available 24 hours per day while on shift (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties and special projects as needed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years minimum oil field experience with five (5) years' experience in either Drilling, Wells, or Well Support related work.
  • Preferred: Three (3) years experience in a leadership related role.
  • Good computer skills needed for MS Excel, MS Work, SAP, PowerBi, and SiteView.
  • Ability to multitask and function with numerous open work fronts.
  • Good communicator both verbal and written.
  • Has a customer service mindset and can work effectively in support role.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • IADC Well Control Certification - preferred but not required.
