Warehouse Logistic Manager

This is an on-site position in Rhode Island.

This position is responsible for managing, moving, shipping, storing, or unloading various materials and equipment either by hand or with the use of machinery.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.

  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.

  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.

  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.

  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.

  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.

  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.

  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.

  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager.

  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.

  • Proficient in standard logistics software.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

Education & Experience:

  • 6+ months experience in a warehouse environment preferred, but not required.

  • BS in Business Administration or equivalent experience required.

Pre-Screen:

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

  • Driver License Required.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • RARE (less than 10%): crawling, sitting, climbing, climbing poles

  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): stooping, body twisting, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, climbing ladders, balancing.

  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, hearing-speech range, walking, seeing distant, climbing on/off truck, gripping, lifting over 10-50 lbs., reaching, range of motion, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, standing, reading.

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
