Job Description
As a part of the Competitive and Market Insights team for CVS Health, you will provide market-focused analytics and thought leadership to support PBM leadership and the sales organization. Reporting to Director of CMI, and working closely across the wider Sales Enablement and Operations team, you will partner across the Caremark PBM and, at times, the broader CVS Health enterprise, to help ensure our critical insights and thought leadership effectively empower decision-making and strategic growth. As a member of the CMI team, you will support stakeholders with market and competitor intelligence, research, and insight generation using both internal and external sources, and structured/unstructured data. You will work very closely with growth functions such as sales, proposals, product, and marketing, demonstrating value at all levels of the organization (including senior leadership), earning trust, and working collaboratively to exceed strategic growth insights needs.
You will accomplish your goals by:
Maintaining knowledge of current industry events, client preferences and sentiment, and regulatory activity.
Tracking competitor activity, including new products, public relations, and sales and marketing tactics.
Assist in building and enhancing a core set of market and competitor intelligence resources for the sales organization. Provide clear reports and analyses that identify industry trends, client and market needs, market threats and opportunities, etc.
Assisting in developing leadership-facing reports on market trends and competitive positioning.
Delivering actionable, data driven insights to support strategic prioritization to an audience that spans from executive leadership to front line colleagues.
Presenting findings and results to various sales teams and other key stakeholders.
Supporting team members in a collaborative environment within our broader Sales Enablement and Sales Operations team.
Your success will be defined by your ability to support various cross-functional initiatives spanning market and growth strategy. You will frame the market by actively identifying and researching market trends, opportunities, risks, and conducting fact-based analyses. Along with the broader team, you will help build a story of the market from disparate sources and data, establishing yourself as a credible and consultative partner to key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
We prefer you to possess a foundational understanding of at least two of the following: the U.S. healthcare system, B2B market dynamics, healthcare payer needs, healthcare member needs, government & policy impact. We are seeking someone who is naturally curious, actively engaged with industry news, and eager to discover more evidence.
To be a candidate for this role you will possess the following:
A team player who has proven capacity to work collaboratively under time sensitive deadlines.
Comfortable working in a complex organization, with ability to execute multiple projects concurrently and collaborate across multiple departments.
Ability to quickly become a subject matter expert on new topics.
Ability to identify patterns with limited qualitative and quantitative data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to effectively and succinctly deliver complex information to a diverse range of constituents.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to identify, analyze, and solve practical problems.
Ability to quickly familiarize with various market data sources and vendors.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in strategic planning, competitive intelligence, finance, marketing, sales operations, or healthcare operations.
Experience researching industry/market trends, players, and events.
Strong knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of pharmacy, pharmacy benefits, healthcare payer dynamics, benefit consultants and/or providers.
Experience in Sales or a Sales Enablement related role.
Experience breaking down complex problems into discrete components and developing strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks that drive decision making.
Advanced PowerPoint user.
Previous exposure to benefit consultant, health plan, or employer benefit operations.
Previous experience with data visualization.
Previous experience using CRMs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, strategy health administration, or business-adjacent quantitative discipline.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
