We are currently hiring for a Manual Machinist
Hours are 7:00AM - 3:30PM (Monday - Friday)
*Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and overtime as required.
The purpose of this position is to manufacturer and repair precision parts and components. Operate a variety of machine tools and equipment to accurately machine final products used in the underground and surface mining industries, as well as industrial markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspecting parts for defects, flaws, deformities and making necessary repairs/adjustments to OEM specs Produce quality parts and components that require precise dimensions and tolerances Utilize manual lathes, mills, boring mills and drills Use precision measuring devices to ensure proper conformance to quality specifications Interpret blueprints or engineering drawings and adjusting machine requirements to obtain OEM specs Maintain tools/tooling and cleanliness of assigned work area Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY: 1-2+ years of operating manual lathes
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of operation of machines and how they work Ability to interpret prints and drawings Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and planning skills Knowledge of material used to produce parts and components High School Diploma or GED is required, comparable trade school or apprenticeship a plus
