Our team is looking for a game-changer and innovator to join our vibrant international team.

We are looking for a Sr. Director Insurance Business Developer to support our new and existing AV insurance customers. This position will be remote with a preference to be based on the US East Coast.

The role insurers play in the lifecycle of an autonomous vehicle has never been more important. This position is a vital element to the core strategy of Simulytic in our earliest days of creating value for the insurance industry. The right candidate will oversee our US and European (re)insurance customer relationships, broker partnerships, project delivery and product innovation.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Consultative selling of the Simulytic solution to top management levels within the insurance industry to build and maintain a network that grows our customer base.

  • Leading the insurance project delivery; serving as the first line of escalation and identifying value creation opportunities for expanding engagements.

  • Driving the positioning of Simulytic at the crossroads of AV and Insurance via thought leadership at events, social channels, etc.

  • Contributing to ongoing, rapid innovation of features and products based on established insurance experience to deliver new customer value, increase the Simulytic share of wallet, and safeguard the Simulytic business model.

  • Driving the preparation of presentations for customer, industry, partner ecosystem engagements and dutifully maintaining a CRM system.

  • Driving customer onboarding processes and contract management with necessary colleagues and providers.

  • Identifying new insurance market opportunities for growth (e.g. new regions, new entrants)

  • Contributing to relevant pricing, marketing, and distribution related growth initiatives.

  • Tracking insurance product and competitor activity.

  • Contributing to institutional / strategic fund-raising activities for the organization.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Masters, PhD) from an accredited institution in Business Management, Actuarial Finance, Mathematics or equivalent studies

  • 10+ years of experience in insurance

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or specialty lines insurance focus

  • 5+ years of experience supervising innovative teams

  • 5+ years of experience in mobility innovation, autonomous vehicles business or technology

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestic / international on demand

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience of leading teams

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Top marks / honors qualifications in academic studies

  • Solid understanding of underwriting and actuarial processes for commercial or specialty insurance

  • Familiarity with AV safety and risk protocols and international AV regulation

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

The pay range for this position is $137,550 - $235,800. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
