Description
Are you looking for a multi-faceted and stimulating role? An Robert Half's client has an entry-level Accounting & Claims Handling Analyst role available for a professional looking to work in the Princeton area. This is a great entry-level position that provides the opportunity to offer daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. You should be able to direct vagueness and a grand amount of information. If you are a solution-oriented critical thinker with a passion for analysis, this is the opportunity for you! This contract / temporary to hire position is for a long-term duration.
Your responsibilities
Have a hand in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
Record client statements in a timely manner
Investigate and resolve open payable/receivable balances
Prepare result dependent condition calculations
Processing payment transactions (incoming and outgoing) in accordance with contract terms
Assist in annual budgeting process
Study and query a broad amounts of data
Assist in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process
Research and reconcile accounting matters related to statements of account
Participate in projects as needed
Requirements
Less than one year of experience preferred
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Data Science
- Capable computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable
Experience with Data Analysis
