Accountemps is actively searching for an Entry-Level Accountant. You will report to the Accounting Manager, work with a dynamic team, and enjoy the opportunity for career growth. If you have an aptitude for Excel, a positive attitude, and a desire to work in an entry-level accounting position, then this position could be the perfect fit. As an Entry Level Accountant, you will enter data, review financial statements, and create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets Training will be provided from the start around SAGE 50 and their workflow. This short-term temporary-to-full-time entry-level Accountant position is located in Princeton, New Jersey.
How you will make an impact
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Make monthly journal entries
Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned
Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
Input data
Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
Requirements
1+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
Suggested education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Usage or understanding of Sage 50 or any Accounting Software, ERP
Knowledge of journal entries
Knack for learning bi-Monthly Payroll through ADP
Analyze Financial Statements experience
Account Records experience preferred
General familiarity with GAAP Accounting
Account reconciliation experience
High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Excellent data entry skills
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
