ORCHARD WORKERS: JOB DOES NOT START UNTIL November 15, 2024: APPLICANT SHOULD RECEIVE A COPY OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND JOB REFERRAL BEFORE CALLING EMPLOYER CONTACT. All workers should be physically able to meet requirements and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 11/15/2024 to 03/15/2025.Workers will perform a variety of tasks in varying temperatures from 35 to 100 degrees and light rain. Employees must be able to frequently lift weights ranging from 20 to 100 pounds. Workers will help plant and maintain fruit trees. Workers will also harvest fruit from trees and bushes, sort according to size and quality, package fruit in boxes or bins.The confirmed adverse effect wage rate for the area of employment is $15.14 per hour for 2024.Wages will be paid weekly. The employer guarantees to offer at least 3/4 of the hours listed in the contract. Workers compensation will be provided. The employer must provide free housing and three meals a day or furnish free convenient cooking facilities to all workers who are not able to return to their residence the same day. If the employer elects to provide meals, a maximum of $15.88 per may be charged to the employee. The employer will provide the necessary tools supplies and equipment at no cost to the worker.Workers may be required to take random drug and/or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. May be required to submit a criminal background check, at no cost to the worker. Felony convictions that employer reasonably believes, consistent with current law, will impair the safety and living conditions of other workers or other individuals on the farm will result in immediate termination.
