Requirement: We are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in Model Based Engineering. Our Functional Development Team is currently working diligently on a complex Functional Requirement Specification (FRS) using a Simulink models and set of textual requirements. As we continue to implement our One Click Software process, it is imperative that we have a virtual test capability to ensure that the FRS functions as intended within the entirety of the environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the entire control software development process and be able to validate that the system capability meets all necessary requirements. Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

• Experience of managing and controlling the configuration of Functional Development Models (in Simulink)

• Experience in setting up highly complex Simulink models for testing in ‘software in the loop’ (SIL)

• Experience in configuring the Simulink models and associated test harness to perform correct test cases

• At least 5 years' experience in a related engineering field required

• Significant experience with Mathworks toolsets (MATLAB/Simulink)

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills to interface with multiple functional work streams, customers, and stakeholders.

• Ensuring model configuration meets design standards and is compatible with test and assessment deployments

• Knowledge of GIT/BitBucket toolset & process, and responsibility for overseeing its usage

Essential

• A strong background in Matlab-Simulink model testing

• Test configuration management for Model Based Testing environments.

• Experience of container deployment through technologies such as Docker, Podman and/or Kubernetes

• Experience in implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.

• Linux operating system familiarity / skill set (essential)

• Experience of DevOps and Agile methodologies

• Working knowledge of configuration management using Git, Jenkins and Jira

Desirable

• A science-based Honours degree (e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Electronic Engineering)

• Experience in Test Configuration management in a Product development organisation using Model Based Testing

• Preferred background in Electronic Warfare, Automotive, Rail, Transportation, Aerospace or other domains that are tightly regulated and safety critical
