The Benefit/Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing and administering the college\'s compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures competitive and equitable compensation practices, oversees benefits administration, and supports the overall strategic goals of the Human Resources department.\ \ Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation Analysis and Administration:
    • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to determine competitive salary ranges.
    • Develop and update job descriptions to reflect current responsibilities and requirements.
    • Participate in salary surveys and analyze data to inform compensation decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation policies and procedures.
  2. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other ancillary benefits.
    • Coordinate open enrollment processes and employee benefits education sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations such as ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and COBRA.
    • Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims.
    • Maintain accurate benefits records and manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers.
  3. HR Data Management:
    • Maintain and update HRIS with compensation and benefits data.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  4. Employee Relations:
    • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on compensation and benefits matters.
    • Resolve employee issues related to compensation and benefits in a timely and effective manner.
    • Support the development and communication of compensation and benefits programs and policies.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
    • Monitor legislative changes affecting compensation and benefits and recommend policy updates as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
