The Role
We're looking for talented individual who will join our Team as Tax Analyst II. The role is helping with the state income tax compliance process. You will be working closely with U.S.Team.
This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background in corporate taxation and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. If you have a knack for identifying automation opportunities and a keen understanding of tax regulations, this position could be a great fit for you!
The Main Responsibilities
Prepare corporate income, franchise, and gross receipts tax return filings
Strong technical working knowledge of corporate taxation in complex multi-jurisdictional corporation
Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement identified strategies
Exceptional ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
Perform state research and planning for income taxes including state conformity
Liaison with accounting, tax accounting, and treasury departments to obtain and analyze necessary tax information
Respond timely to notices received from state and local taxing authorities
Assist audit team with income tax audit requests
Prepare and assist with various components of state tax provision with technical understanding of ASC 740
Assist in preparation of apportionment and state modification adjustments
Understanding of tax reform and state implications of these changes
Other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
Experience in preparing corporate income, franchise, and gross receipts tax return filings.
Strong technical working knowledge of corporate taxation in complex multi-jurisdictional corporations.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent typically with 2-4 years or 0-1 years with a Master's Degree.
Experience in preparing apportionment and state modification adjustments.
Experience in performing state research and planning for income taxes, including state conformity.
Ability to respond timely to notices received from state and local taxing authorities.
