OVERVIEW

Are you ready to help us invent the future? As Field Sales Manager Modern Mass Market you will shape the Vision and Values by achieving assigned sales budget objectives in the country. Responsible for maximizing long-term BIC Brand forecast and profit goals while working with midsize to large customers. Responsible for communicating and implementing BIC national initiatives, policies, and standards across our customer’s organization structure. Also, communicating and affecting our customer’s needs across the BIC structure. Maintains high-level customer contacts and relationships; builds consumer and customer satisfaction on BIC Brands (Writing Instruments, Lighters, Shavers) and services.

Location: Poland, any city

What you will do:

  • Responsible for NS 4 MLN EUR

  • Manage the local Field Sales Team (13 Sales Representatives) within a Modern Trade Division; all categories

  • Set up clear, individual targets in line with the company objectives and sales policy

  • Motivate and challenge the team ensuring an accurate and close follow up of the individual targets

  • Coach and support on the field during regular field trips with team members in order to evaluate and monitor the performance of Sales Representatives

  • Analyze team performances and individual results, identify market/customer needs and determine a challenging strategy for the Field Sales Team together with clear action plans

  • Organize individual quarterly and year-end evaluation meetings in order to develop the technical and personal skills of the team members

  • Optimize sales areas and routing (analyze number of visits, visits’ frequency, weight of sales areas, etc.) and define a clear routing-system for each team member linked with targets; expected strike rate, value of sales, distribution level, visibility (incl. BIC POS)

  • Manage the distribution and development of sales tools such as sales books, pricelists, catalogues and flyers and keep them up to date

  • Execution of the standards required by the company in terms of the availability of the products, exposition standard, additional placements, and visibility of the products

  • Negotiations with local customers

  • Cooperation with merchandising agencies in terms of fee negotiations, setting up and controlling contract execution

  • Establishing “Best practice” and sharing approach within the Div 3000 Team

  • Optimize internal communication with other departments such as Marketing, Customer Service and Finance

  • Gather information on competitors’ activities, new products and share this information to Sales Manager Key Accounts, Key Accounts Managers, Marketing and Channel Business Development

  • Gather information relating to the customer reaction on products in the store and share this information to colleagues in other departments such as Marketing & Customer Service

  • Submit reports and analysis to Sales Manager Key Accounts.

What you'll bring to BIC:

  • University degreeB.A. or B.S. degree Business/Marketing/Management

  • KPI focused & Analytics-driven

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of increasing levels of sales responsibility in the consumer products industry

  • A broad knowledge of the Local Market Issues & Key Accounts Impact

  • Knowledge of the FMCG market and Modern Mass Market customers

  • People Management roles of 1 and more subordinate

  • Working knowledge of direct sales, order management and logistics, retail sales coverage, wholesalers and indirect customers. Ideally, the same broad knowledge of internal functions, i.e., Business Planning, Customer Development and Customer Service

  • Proficiency in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook 365)

  • B Driver License

  • English - Pre-intermediate level
