Data Analyst, PSQ Sales at Pearson
Position: Data Analyst, PSQ Sales
Reporting to: Head of Sales Operations
Purpose of the Role:
Support the PSQ UK Sales Leadership Team by providing high-quality commercial insights from our CRM and BI platforms, focusing on market and customer insights, data analysis, and answering business questions.
Manage and develop our suite of Tableau and Salesforce reports to enable the Sales Leadership Team to concentrate on strategy, people management, and revenue-generating activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Insight and Analysis:
Lead the commercial insight strategy and priorities for PSQ Sales in partnership with the Sales Leadership Team.
Develop and optimize forecasting and KPI reporting to support the Sales Leadership Team.
Assist Sales Leadership Team and Finance in administering and reporting Sales Incentive Plans.
Provide summary reporting for Weekly Stand-Ups, Monthly Management meetings, and ad-hoc requests.
Partner with Heads of Sales to answer business questions and support decisions through data analysis, including:
Customer segmentation
Sales team performance tracking
Retention and churn analysis
High-level reporting and dashboards
Predicting revenue risks and opportunities (e.g., cold spot analysis)
Lead continuous improvement workstreams to maximize the accuracy, scope, and impact of commercial insights.
Manage and develop our data reporting suite.
Data Maintenance and Improvement:
Lead data maintenance strategy and priorities in partnership with the Sales Leadership Team.
Maintain close liaison with the BI team regarding Sales needs, pushing for best-in-class service.
Build relationships with Customer Data/Oracle teams to create a joined-up approach and minimize risk.
Training and Support:
Train and upskill Sales Operations and other colleagues.
Bring expertise in wider industry practices and data strategy outside of Pearson.
International Alignment:
- Support and align with International Sales as they enhance their data capabilities.
Skills and Experience:
Strong data analysis experience drawing on data from various sources, such as CRM systems and Tableau.
Ability to design, create, and optimize high-quality reports and dashboards to provide leading indicators and support decision-making.
Confident in leveraging data to support business decisions.
Fluency in tools such as Salesforce and Tableau is a plus.
