Insight Global Security Network Engineer in Powell, Tennessee

Job Description

Insight Global is partnering with a lead medical manufacturing company in the Knoxville area to find a Security Network Engineer to join their team. This role involves a mix of administrative tasks for the security team and technical/customer support duties to ensure efficient and productive operations of PC, network, telecommunications, and end-user equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Install, Configure, and Troubleshoot: Set up, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, servers, printers, network equipment, and software.

- Technical Support: Provide technical support to all computer users, solving hardware and software problems either in person or remotely.

- VoIP and Web Conferencing Administration: Administer hosted VoIP solutions and web conferencing tools, performing necessary configurations and user support.

- Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or software issues.

- Server and Workstation Patching: Lead server and workstation patching, researching and applying critical updates.

- Remote Management: Administer remote management tools, including desktop management and service desk software.

Skills and Requirements

2-3 years of experience in an administrative role, such as Systems or Windows administration.

 Experience in building policies and managing antivirus solutions.

 Proficiency in working with spam filters.

 Experience in server patching.

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

 Experience in maintaining and optimizing AV systems. Experience with Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

 Experience in administering and securing Office 365.

 Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

 Strong documentation skills.

 Experience working with a ticketing system. null
