Primary Purpose: Responsible for providing Accounts Payable (AP) Administrative support, whichaid the business objectives and requirements of Univar Solutions. What You'll Do: Daily run payment program as per schedule Maintain daily log of payments and trend analysis and daily totals Daily monitor AP payment request inbox for off cycles, confirmation requests Track returned checks and voids on void log Report issues or errors noted to leadership regarding processing Run stale dated once a month, research and turn findings over to escheatment group Bi-weekly complete all customer refunds in the US and backup Canada Daily handle all payment issues including review and resolution Daily monitor feedback from bank including but not limited to EDI confirmations, positive pay, returns, direct debits, wire failure Once a week or as needed, conduct client's direct debit clearing, track and monitor drafts and clear appropriately and timely As needed, work with accounting on balances noted in general ledger, review and correct as needed What you'll Need: Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Good number orientation, 10-key by touch Attention to detail, strong work ethic, strong written and oral communication skills Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and Word required. Prefer experience with visio, powerpoint, and access database skills to maintain and update reports Prefer pivot table experience with Excel Accounting knowledge and banking Ability to use and coordinate resources to complete daily tasks and special projects Ability to communicate and articulate with both clerical and executive level employees in a professional manner Education/Training 2+ years of AP or equivalent accounting or administrative background required 2+ years of treasury, payments or banking related experience required.
