General Atomics and Affiliated Companies Senior Pricing Manager for International Markets in Poway, California

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position is responsible for managing GA ASI’s Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) pricing team, department directives, and work assignments.

  • Work in tight collaboration with Sr. Proposal Manager to create compelling, high dollar proposals for international markets.

  • Develops reports and presents findings to senior management, executives, and senior external representatives. Represents the company with customer visits and presentations.

  • Oversees and directs the development of internal pricing tools and processes, proposal pricing structure, and collaborates with the organization to identify price-to-win strategies.

  • Directs the development of proposal pricing data to ensure conformance to Request for Proposal (RFPs) and regulations.

  • Develops and establishes policies and procedures for the DCS pricing team. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policy. Tracks department metrics monthly and annually.

  • May participate in the development and implementation of business initiatives as well as long-term planning.

  • Manages all on-going DCS business shaping activities including budgetary estimate (BEs), whitepapers, and early-stage competitive business pursuits.

  • Leads DCS pricing efforts on International DCS binding proposal.

  • Represents the organization as the primary interface with internal functional groups as well as outside vendors for all DCS pricing activities.

  • Directs the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required professional staff.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.

  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Additional functions, other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, or business administrationand fifteen or more years of professional experience in developing pricing scheduleswith at least ten of those years in a supervisory capacity. May substitute equivalentexperience in lieu of education. Technical background and MBA a plus.

  • International business exposure required. Some knowledge of international financialpractices, currency hedging and exchange rates, a plus.

  • Knowledge of leasing structures, Company Owed/ Company Operated (COCO) contractvehicles, and DCS acquisition process highly desired.

  • Must possess strong competitive pricing skills, including a thorough knowledge ofproposal pricing practices, along with the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinateworkloads of staff to hit tight deadlines.

  • Ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions toa variety of extremely complex matters of diverse scope and nature.

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document,report, and present findings to a variety of audiences.

  • Exceptional excel/analytical skills a must.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, includingsenior managers and senior external customers.

  • The ability to represent the company on external projects and various ad hoc analysisprojects.

  • The ability to work extended hours and some international travel is anticipated.

  • Aerospace industry experience a plus.
