Aerotek Hvac Technician in Poway, California

Job Title: Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our team. The primary function of this role is to install pipe systems in commercial buildings for heating and air conditioning.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, piping systems, and equipment for heating hot water and chilled water.

  • Perform pump changeouts.

  • Replace and repair cooling towers.

  • Replace chillers, boilers, and fan coils.

  • Work with refrigeration systems, including split systems and VRF high rise.

  • Handle condenser water systems.

Essential Skills

  • HVAC expertise

  • Blueprint reading

  • Construction knowledge

  • Pipe fitting and piping skills

  • Brazing and soldering

  • Hydronics experience

  • VRF high rise experience

  • Hot and chilled water system knowledge

  • Threading

  • HVAC refrigeration skills

  • Journeyman Level HVAC Pipefitter

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years of pipefitting HVAC experience.

  • Primarily commercial level experience.

  • Must have pipefitting tools: copper tools, torch, refrigerant tools, hand tools. (Company can provide power tools)

  • Experience in layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems.

Work Environment

You will work on commercial and industrial projects, mainly tenant improvements and new construction. Locations include North County (San Marcos) and downtown (Hotel Del Coronado and other downtown projects). Typical start times are between 6/7 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00
