Professional Project Services, Inc. Student Intern I - Regulatory and Waste Management Specialist in Portsmouth, Ohio
ETAS Inc. has an upcoming opportunity for a Regulatory and Waste Management Specialist Internship position at our office in Portsmouth, OH. This opportunity allows college students to assist in routine administrative and technical functions in areas of study. Such assistance, performed under direct mentorship and supervision, support government environmental-management projects. Company Description: Enterprise Technical Assistance Services, Inc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works under close ETAS supervision in performance of tasks supporting administrative or technical divisions including the following areas: Perform assignments with application of standard engineering practices and develop working knowledge of appropriate construction standards and regulations. Provide field and technical oversight support in the areas of civil engineering, construction management, and waste management. Perform field observations of ongoing and future contractor activities associated with On-Site Waste Disposal Facility operations and maintenance. Perform periodic design reviews, technical evaluations, and field verification of as-built drawings in accordance with established standards. Assist in evaluating evolving/changing contractor processes and activities to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements. Support DOE by performing daily field oversight, providing operational and equipment updates and reports/technical documents, as needed. Review contractor deliverables, letters, plans, and procedures for Environmental Safety and Health, Regulatory Compliance, and Waste Management and Transportation. Participate in meetings to discuss environmental, regulatory, and waste management issues. Demonstrate ability to get along with coworkers, customers, and visitors. Perform other duties as assigned.
