We’re seeking a Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities Manager to own all technical functions across Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Maintenance Leadership, and Maintenance Purchasing, empowering them to excel in their areas of expertise. You’ll lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with global peers to plan, coordinate, and execute innovative solutions that drive efficiency and operational excellence. Location: Onsite Portsmouth, NH

What you will be doing:.

  • Ensure processes and equipment fully comply with Safety, QMS and CGMP requirements.

  • Will own technical functions for Engineering in its multiple facets. Including but not limited to Sustaining Engineering, NPI Engineering, Continuous Improvement, New Process Development, Compliance with Regulatory Bodies.

  • Responsible for the execution of facilities maintenance activities. These include but are not limited to HVAC systems, compressed air systems, general building electrical infrastructure, grounds maintenance, fire prevention, snow removal and waste management.

  • Design and lead execution of Validation and/or Qualification exercises.

  • Work closely with Manufacturing Operations to Identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.

  • Lead investigations in product quality problems, determines root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause. Owns and executes completion of CAPA actions

  • Identify, plan and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and own tasks for New Product Introduction.

  • Lead and own tasks for Change Control of Legacy Products.

  • Responsible for capacity studies, enhance system reliability, and identify/implement productivity improvements including new technologies.

  • Develop/maintain strategic technical improvement plans for systems.

  • Serve as a technical liaison for all levels of the company including customers, and other sites.

  • Coach and lead others in the fabrication of jigs, tools, fixtures, gages, and special equipment.

  • Lead/Mentor Technical Teams in the repairs of equipment and resolution of downtime.

  • Actively participate in definition of quality requirements, justification of acceptance limits and sampling plans to assure compliance with requirements.

  • Lead technical conversations with prospective Customers to understand their needs and translate these into itemized quotable deliverables. Ensure that project execution satisfies customer expectations while adhering to Industry Regulations and Compliance with internal Quality Management System.

Skills you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant Engineering Discipline. (Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical or Electrical preferred)

  • 10+ experience in a leadership technical role within an industrial manufacturing setting. Preferred experience in medical device manufacturing.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication.

  • Advanced computer skills, Windows Suite, CAD, Graphic design.

  • Advanced team management skill set.

  • Proficient Mechanical knowledge.

  • Proficient in understanding and applying general engineering principles.

  • Proficient in Process Validation principles and methodologies.

  • Proven track record of Project Management.

  • Proven track record of driving Continuous improvement.

  • Proven track record in development and commissioning of equipment.

  • Preferred experience in glass substrates, screen printing, and medical device manufacturing.

  • Preferred Knowledge of process historians (OSI PI, FactoryTalk Historian)

  • Be able to lift 25 pounds.

  • Must be capable of working for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

  • Work standing on hard surfaces, ladders, under and around equipment.
