POSITION SUMMARY: Registered nurse with both administrative and clinical responsibilities to designated service area. Works with Director to plan staffing needs and oversee competency of nursing staff in order to ensure safe high quality nursing care is provided. The Clinical Coordinator will provide leadership in growth and development of new services in areas of clinical supervision. Provide bedside nursing care as needed.
SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in planning, directing, and the provision of nursing care to the patients in accordance with the N.H. Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, and clinical and administrative policies.
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition.
- Provide assessment and care of the adult patient population.
- Demonstrate knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology of the adult patient population.
Provide safe medication administration for the adult patient population.
Provides leadership to staff and serves as management representative for the area(s)/shift of clinical supervision.
- Provide support for quality and safety initiatives and practices.
- Provide support for the provision of Customer Service oriented care.
- Provide administrative support.
_Experience:_ o 3-7 years of acute care nursing in a critical care environment _Education: _ o Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree preferred o Tuition Reimbursement Program(up to $5,250/calendar year) _Licensure and Certifications:_ o Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License o BLSandACLS(American Heart Association Health Care Provider) o Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia – (within 3 months from hire) o PCCN Certification (preferred) o TNCC Certification (preferred) o TCAR Certification (preferred) HCA will payfor certification renewals once employed
