The Brokerage Supervisor is responsible for managing the workload of staff, developing team goals, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, and training employees on compliance with regulations and requirements.

The Brokerage Supervisor maintains productivity and is well versed on international commerce and transportation industry changes. This position supervises staff.

What do you do in a day?

  • Supervision of the team.

  • Delegates and prioritizes workload to meet customers' deadlines.

  • Resolves problems in a timely manner to meet customer needs and avoid penalties.

  • Responds to information requests and notices of action from Customs to ensure timelines are met.

  • Business plan preparation and organization.

  • Evaluate performance against quality objectives to develop process improvements and increase effectiveness levels.

  • Carrying out continuous audits to detect the necessary areas of improvement in the equipment.

  • You will work as a team with the rest of the customs supervisors, to achieve high quality standards and a strong relationship of trust with Customs.

  • You will control the Compliance and Training area as part of a technical team that is rapidly consolidating.

What do we expect from you?

  • Flexible and analytical, enjoy support to solving problems and decision-making.

  • Bachelor's degree essential.

  • Demonstrate experience or training in customs area.

  • Experience supervising others – Preferred

  • A proactive attitude and flexibility are required.

  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.

  • Previous experience managing teams, both local and remote.

  • Detail Orientation: Distinguishes between “big picture” concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • English - Medium/High level is essential.

  • Fluent in Portuguese

  • Spanish - Medium level is essential (other languages are a plus)

  • Communication skills and effective presentations.

  • Excellent control of computer tools

  • Results orientation and Problems solution.

  • Team spirit.

  • Schedule flexibility. Working hours: 09:00-18:00
