ADP Senior / Lead Investment Analyst in Porto Alegre, Brazil

ADP is hiring a Senior Investment Analyst -Venture Capital

As part of our Venture Capital team, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing

investment opportunities across our target sectors. You will work closely with the investment

team to conduct due diligence, perform market research, and support portfolio companies to

drive growth and maximize value.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Ø Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including market

analysis, competitive landscape assessment, financial modeling, technology evaluation,

and team analysis

Ø Use financial models and market research to assess the viability and growth potential of

companies.

Ø Support the senior investing team on thesis development and market research for

incubation concepts

Ø Synthesize findings and present investment recommendations to the investment team.

Ø Support company diligence as needed, including consumer surveys, expert calls,

competitive analysis, and market research

Ø Manage the deal pipeline, coordinate with the investment team to assess the

opportunity, and prepare investment memos

Ø Participate in and be asked to contribute to weekly internal meetings in which new

investments and portfolio companies are discussed

Ø Work with portfolio companies to help drive their success and identify new investment

opportunities

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Ø 1-3 years of professional experience in Management Consulting at a top-tier firm or

analysis roles such as a Venture Capital role with directly transferrable skills

Ø Analytical Abilities: Must possess strong analytical skills to assess business models,

market trends, and financial data. They need to identify key drivers of success and

evaluate potential risks.

Ø Financial Acumen: A good understanding of financial concepts and valuation methods is

important. The Senior candidate should be comfortable building financial models,

analyzing financial statements, and conducting investment appraisals.

Ø Industry Knowledge: Staying informed about the latest trends, technologies, and

disruptions within the industries they focus on is vital. Continuous learning, attending

industry events, and building a strong network help analysts stay at the forefront of

their sectors.

Ø Communication and Presentation Skills: Effective communication skills are essential.

They need to articulate their findings, present investment recommendations, and

engage in discussions with the investment team and entrepreneurs.

Ø Teamwork and Collaboration: Venture capital is a team-oriented field, and analysts

must work closely with colleagues, including partners, associates, and other analysts.

The ability to collaborate, share insights, and contribute to team discussions is crucial.

BONUS POINTS FOR THESE:

• Any certifications related to investment analysis, portfolio management, private equity,

and venture capital are preferred.

• Experience in the Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Growth Equity, space is highly

desirable.

• Understanding of HR/Payroll outsourcing concepts is a plus.

• Having an MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
