Aerotek Welder Fitter in Portland, Oregon
Job Title: Welder Fitter
Pay: $24 / HR - $32 / HR
Location: NE Portland, OR
Responsibilities:
Welder:
Performed structural welding with a variety of wire sizes, primarily .052 flux core.
Weld 1/2 inch+ steel in various positions (1-3G) on mild steel.
Assist in pre-fabrication operations as needed.
Fitter:
Conduct full layout and fitting of structural assemblies according to blueprints and welding symbols.
Verify layout with quality checks and collaborate with the welding team to complete job sections.
Assist in pre-fabrication operations if needed.
Interview Information:
Welders: Must pass a 1/2 inch plate test with .052 in 3G.
Fitters: Must pass a 1/2 inch plate test with .052 in 1G and be able to walk through a drawing and layout.
Environment/Shift:
Small family-owned fabrication shop.
Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Swing Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm (includes an extra 30 minutes of pay as differential)
