PeopleReady Carpenter in Portland, Oregon
As a Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support custom home and commercial contractors throughout Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas. The pay rate for this job is $25 - $32 / hour
Job Responsibilities:
Hours: Monday through Friday day shift.
Weekend work potentially available.
Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework.
Build metal, wood framing, and roof truss components.
Maintain, construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Perform residential and commercial projects.
Complete Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, finishing interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures.
Being confident in framing, measuring, trim work, and finishing work.
Review blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
Follow safety practices at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
Be at least 18+ years of age.
Valid RIGHT TO WORK DOCUMENTS for Employment in the US
2+ plus years of Finish/Rough commercial/residential carpentry experience
Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
Reliable transportation to and from jobsites.
Basic math skills ? addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite.
