Description
We are in search of a diligent Contract Staff Accountant to join our team based in Portland, Maine. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts across various entities. This role also involves preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations as well as assisting with monthly close processes.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts across various entities
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly close processes
• Maintain records and reconciliations for key vendors
• Maintain documentation for accounts receivables and purchasing
• Assist with additional finance and sales related projects
• Prepare monthly financial reports in a timely manner
• Direct and oversee the month end close functions of the company by preparing and reviewing journal entries and performing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements
• Capable of creating and maintaining Journal Entries
• Experience in executing Month End Close processes
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
