SENIOR HUMAN SERVICES COUNSELOR, HOMELESS SERVICES CENTER
Health and Human Services Department - Social Services Division - Homeless Services Center -Deadline Extended -
Full-Time, Project Position, 37.5 hours/week\ Schedule is Monday-Friday, 10:00AM6:30 PM. In addition, a monthly two-hour staff meeting is required.
This is a supervisory position at the states largest homeless shelter and related overflow sites. The candidate hired into this position is responsible for overseeing operations of the states largest homeless shelter in collaboration with a team of employees including shelter attendants and shelter security guards.
Duties & Requirements:
- Intake paperwork, data quality assurance and communication with senior management.
- A positive attitude with exceptional patience and excellent customer service skills is required.
- This position will also be responsible for ensuring neighborhood safety checks are completed regularly.
- Preference will be given to those who have experience working in a homeless shelter and with individuals with substance use and mental illness.
- Previous supervisory experience is also preferred.
- A Bachelors degree in social work or related field; or commensurate work experience preferred.
- Valid Class C Maine Drivers license required.

Non-Union position - Grade B25 - Pay range starting at \$27.88 hourly.
