About Maine Community Power Cooperative (MCPC): We are disrupting the energy industry and
traditional business structure by putting people first.
We are a consumer-owned cooperative that develops, owns, and operates small-scale community solar
projects on behalf of our members. Think of us as part energy company, part social movement.
Our mission is to provide equitable access to clean renewable energy. Our member-owned cooperative
lowers energy expenses and improves resiliency through solar power, energy storage, efficiency and
education. We empower communities, strengthen local economies, and promote ecological practices
through community-based energy systems.

Title: Community Engagement Manager

You are responsible for:
- Membership engagement, growth and satisfaction
- Marketing and communications: strategy and implementation, events, recruitment, promoting our
vision and disruptive business model
- Fostering inclusivity to ensure we reach all Mainers
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience that includes:
- 3+ years of marketing, community engagement, or organizing roles with increasing levels of
responsibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including among diverse stakeholders
- Developing web presence and social media accounts
- Managing in person and digital marketing campaigns
- Impeccable organization and attention to detail
- Stellar time-management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet deadlines
Compensation and work culture:
- Salary: \$60,000
- Generous paid time off
- Flexible work schedule
- Option to work remotely, at Portland-based coworking space, and/or at Norway office
