City of Portland - Program Coordinator - Harm Reduction Services\ \ HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION - PROGRAM COORDINATOR\ \ Our Public Health Division is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Harm Reduction Services Program. This position will oversee the day to day operations of Portlands Syringe Services Program, as well as overdose prevention strategies throughout Cumberland and York Counties.\ \ Additional Duties & Responsibilities:\ \ Assigns, directs, and coordinates cases.\ Reviews case records and plans for providing service to clients.\ Conducts staff meetings, case managers meetings, outreach meetings, workshops and other client issues-related meetings.\ Represents Division programs in the community, serves as a member on relevant committees, task forces, etc.\ May participates in grant application process, program planning, and service evaluations.\ Responsible for meeting program reporting requirements, monitoring outcome measures and expenditures, compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, and grant renewal.\ Assists in developing and administering the program budget.\ \ Required Skills & Experience:\ \ Bachelor\'s degree in the area of human services, public health, or related field and considerable experience in social services or public health field, including supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.\ The successful candidate will have significant staff and programmatic management experience and a thorough understanding of harm reduction.\ Experience in meeting high level grant deliverables and objectives; fiscal and programmatic reporting; grant writing; and budget management is required.\ This person should demonstrate an independent, self-directed, and strong work ethic.\ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\ \ Applications accepted until 01/03/2025\ \ Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.\ \ Salary & Benefits:\ \ This is a non-union position (Grade C41) - Salary range: \$67,329 - \$73,584/year.\ \ The City of Portland prides itself on its outstanding benefits and collegial and mission-driven work environment.
