Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. If you are a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and highly organized, this may be the role for you!

Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
Recognize ways to improve profits and tax savings
Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Advise management on new tax laws or the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies
Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database
Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy
Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and read professional publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends
Organize any outsourced tax preparation work Requirements - Demonstrated organizational skills
Must be a creative thinker and have strong problem-solving skills
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
2+ years of public or corporate tax
Strong communication and social skills
CPA highly preferred
Skilled at time management
