Summary You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEM INTEGRATION N50 in the Cruiser, Guided Missile/Destroyer, guided missile (CG/DDG) Pacific Fleet Integration Branch (N51), MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will serve as the Team Lead for PAC Fleet Integration (N50) Combat Systems Integration Division (CSAT) CG/ DDG PAC Fleet Integration Branch (N51). You will perform a variety of complex technical project assignments and leadership roles directed toward satisfying technical objectives for AEGIS Cruisers and Destroyers. You will provide technical leadership related to operation, evaluation, maintenance and repair of the Aegis Combat System (ACS), Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Interoperability, and other AEGIS Combat Systems related projects You will understand and formulate the overall objectives and detail requirements, provide project planning and monitor progress. You will devise methods and procedures to difficult and unprecedented problems. You will apply acute technical judgment and established methods and techniques to attack and resolve complex AEGIS Combat Systems readiness issues, providing authoritative technical advise and assistance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating and analyzing engineer project and instrumentation pertaining to Aegis Combat System (ACS) operation to identity, resolve, and maintain the readiness of all existing and new ships. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
