Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Port Hueneme, California
Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Strategic Planning Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will build and leverage strategic partnerships as well as Department of Defense Lab authorities to enhance workforce proficiency and capability. You will be responsible for advising senior level managers on policies, directives, regulations, and major work related to strategic planning and execution, investment strategy, and competency management. You will execute a comprehensive academic engagement strategy aligned with Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division's strategic priorities to support current and future mission requirements. You will establish and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of talent pipeline initiatives. You will provide regular reports to leadership on progress, challenges, and successes in talent development efforts. You will work with the Competency Management Council to establish a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of learning initiatives and identifying areas for improvement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing workforce performance indicators to develop talent initiatives to enhance workforce proficiency and capability. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
