Company: Bassett's Market Position: Deli Clerk Job Type: Seasonal, Year-Round; Seasonal, Part-Time The Deli Clerk performs work in all areas of the Deli at the direction of the Deli Manager. Responsible for waiting on customers at the counter, packaging and pricing their selections. Stocks finished goods on racks, tables, cases and shelves. Deli Clerks will prepare customers orders, perform suggestive selling, slice, follow recipes to prepare deli items, unload products from trucks, stage stock in back room, cooler and freezer. The Deli Clerk will date, weigh, package, stock, merchandise product on racks and shelves up to 6 feet high and lift up to 50 pounds. Operates stock dollies, mixing machines, slicers, ovens, scales, fryers and uses knives and case cutters. Performs sweeping, mopping and cleaning as scheduled. The most important responsibility of the Deli Clerk is to verbally communicate, make eye contact and personally thank each customer in a polite and courteous manner Benefits include:
