House of Blues Marketing Manager in Port Chester, New York

Job Summary:

The Capitol Theatre is looking for a Marketing Manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves and jump in! You will aid in the promotion, advertising, street-team, and social media for the historic venue, as well as Garcia's. We are looking for a creative, driven, and passionate employee. This position requires an enthusiastic self-starter who is a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As the Marketing Manager, you will oversee the Marketing Coordinator. You will be tasked with leading the department in outreach activities, social media, brand awareness initiatives, track marketing initiative timelines, and assist with day-to-day marketing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and execute marketing and promotional plans for Concerts and special events at The Capitol Theatre and Garcia’s.

  • Collaborate with venue and regional Live Nation teams to plan the marketing spends for concerts long-term marketing branding initiatives.

  • Generate and monitor marketing budget. Book and account for all advertising and media and oversee advertising settlements for each show.

  • Build digital advertising plans across Meta, Programmatic, and various platforms to drive ticket sales.

  • Advance publicity, press interviews, and house photography needs with relevant agents, managers, press outlets, and PR partners.

  • Oversees house photographers, day to day management of venue website, live updates and communications with fans on show days, escort media partners, and coordinate meet and greets and guest lists with the box office.

  • Directs street team of approximately 50 members for grassroots and community marketing efforts throughout Port Chester, and Westchester County

  • Create email marketing campaigns and edit content to ensure a high open rates, CTR and conversions. Manage Content Management System (CMS) which supports the publishing of web content as needed.

  • Works with Designers to create show and in-venue graphics, website banners, promotional posters, and social media creatives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses to drive community outreach and organic marketing opportunities throughout Westchester County.

  • Create and develop B2B marketing plans to support the selling of private and special events in the venue.

  • Oversees “TheCapCares” our volunteer community give back program.

  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned by venue management.

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years experience in Concert Marketing or a related field.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Photoshop, Google Docs.

  • Exceptional written, verbal and listing communication skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

  • Creative, detail-oriented person who can juggle multiple tasks ranging from highly analytical to creative.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, digital trends, and how each platform can be best utilized.

  • Experience with media buying (radio, print, etc.) and executing digital media plans.

  • Experience with programmatic media and real time bidding.

  • Experience with email, SMS and other digital marketing programs.

  • Detail orientated with a while being able to multitask and manage multiple campaigns across departments simultaneously.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships with other departments, and vendors, and promotional partners.

  • Confidence and ability to take the lead in group situations.

  • Knowledge of music industry and a passion for live music.

  • Graphic Design and video editing experience is a plus.
