Job Description:

Provides aid and support for local technical departments when needed, helping with engineering, construction and maintenance within assigned systems or system areas.

Provides guidance and direction for headend operations.

Ensures local technical system staff has the information and direction required for successful launch and support of new technical projects and initiatives and with new build activity.

Leads efforts associated with Oracle projects, ROs and other required tasks in support of capital projects.

Coaches system technicians on the use of network performance monitoring and surveillance tools - for maintenance, troubleshooting and to ensure integrity of video, data and voice networks.

Monitors system CMTS utilization and performance - helping plan and implement work required to keep within established CMTS specifications.

Oversees physical plant maintenance and works with local staff to ensure workforce

optimization.

Minimum Education and Certification

BA/BS Degree

Other Qualifications

Associate and/or professional

level network certification

Leads efforts associated with

head-end testing and monitors

systems to ensure ongoing

regulatory compliance.

Strong knowledge of:

o Headend power, grounding

HVAC systems

o Headend signal management,

RF and Optical Distribution

and test platform / EAS

o HFC, RFoG, PON architectures,

design, construction and

activation

o HFC maintenance,

troubleshooting and system
