The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join our team on Nights. The Technician will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting the production of bearings.
Essential job functions include but not limited to:
- Uses hand tools, standard measuring equipment, and gauges, to assemble bearings and other parts in accordance with the planning instructions provided.
- Operates basic machining, grinding and polishing equipment.
- Uses precise cleaning processes and methods to clean, deburr, and polish parts.
- Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
- Performs packaging operations for bearing assemblies and other parts.
- Maintains proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
- Cleans, organizes and maintains cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
- Strives to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
- Performs routine TPM`s of machines and equipment operated.
- Adheres to all safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
High School or GED required
1-2 years of experience with the following:
- Bench assembly, turning, grinding, roller matched set sorting, and/or tape polishing.
Experience manufacturing bearings is a plus

``` - Experience with riveting and work and automation is a plus.

``` - Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings - Able to work nights M-F from 9:30 PM - 6 AM (training on 1st shift)

``` - Must have the ability to obtain internal certifications for the following: - Vacuum, Nitriding, Carburizing Furnaces and balancing

``` - Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches). - U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
