We are offering a hybrid contract role covering a leave of absence for a client based in Pompton Lakes, NJ. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in our accounting department. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily banking and cash reconciliation processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• Manage monthly bank account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions align with the general ledger.

• Conduct weekly reconciliation of various payment modes, including PayPal, Reverb, Affirm, and Customer Check payments.

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with company processes and protocols, paying careful attention to details.

• Maintain a detailed record of intercompany transactions.

• Execute monthly loan reconciliation, including booking of loan fees and interest.

• Handle reconciliation of company “cash” accounts in Great Plains, ensuring cash received per bank aligns with cash booked in the GP system.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for database management, including the use of V-lookups and Pivot Tables.

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.

• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and delivered within deadlines.

• Utilize your skills in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Bank Account Reconciliation, Cash Activity, Cash Balance, Cash Clearing, Cash Management, Cash Payments, Cash Reconciliations, and Daily Cash Management to perform your duties effectively.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with General Ledger management is necessary

• Must be skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures in a timely manner

• Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation is crucial

• Must be able to manage Cash Activity effectively

• Knowledge of Cash Balance maintenance is required

• Ability to handle Cash Clearing operations is essential

• Experience in Cash Management is important

• Must be able to process Cash Payments accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in Cash Reconciliations is required

• Experience in Daily Cash Management is crucial

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations effectively and accurately is needed.
