AON Delivery Lead (Low-Code) in Poland, Poland

What the day will look like

This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to manage engineering resources within a dedicated cross-functional Agile Product Delivery team, responsible for extending functionality and deploying globally Aon’s strategic solution for Commercial Claims Management. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Take over release & sprint planning for our global Claims product, owning technical delivery within the team.

  • Grow the engineering team of predominantly low-code and full-stack developers to deliver across all layers of technical stack.

  • Ensure new team members are equipped with the tools, access and training to perform within their product team.

  • Key contributor in Agile scrum ceremonies, cross-programme engineering forums, and product/programme -level steering committees.

  • Serve as a first point of contact for Business Product Manager on the assessment, estimation and prioritisation of new features or changes.

  • Technical Application owner for the product and point of escalation for business teams to address incidents and problems as they arise.

  • Serving as point of contact and escalation with Infrastructure and Security divisions of Aon, driving priorities across global service owners.

  • Overseeing Environment, Release and Test management for the product within a heterogenous cloud environment.

  • Supporting Product Owners, Technical Project Managers and Architects to ensure successful planning and technical delivery.

  • Building engineering know-how within an Aon context – adopting and extending SDLC and DevSecOps standards across Aon.

  • Taking personal responsibility for engineering quality and Agile delivery metricsyou’re your team.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 5+ years experience in or overseeing solution development, with at least 3 years management-level.

  • Good understanding of low-code workflow and automation solutions, preferably Appian, or alternatively UiPath, Power Automate, Pega etc. Appian certification a distinct plus.

  • Strong Agile knowledge and related metric tracking – SCRUM, Kanban, XP, Pair Programming and other practices. Certification highly desirable.

  • Experience in Agile CI/CD tooling – Git, Azure DevOps or Jira, Checkmarx etc.

  • Good understanding of SaaS platform -based delivery models, how to build, integrate, deploy and operate solutions effectively.

  • Azure cloud experience desirable – IaaS and PaaS including containerization and serverless

  • Some development or oversight experience in Javascript web frameworks (React, Angular, similar), C# .NET, Database Design & scripting

  • Advocate for and experience in automated testing.

  • Experience in vendor management.

  • Experience in commercial insurance industry a distinct plus.

  • College degree in IT-related discipline.
