Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will maintain supply files in a database to track information needed for reports and briefings. You will accomplish document control work (e.g., processing receipts, adjusting documents) according to established organizational supply policies and procedures. You will oversee stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures. You will contact vendors to obtain or negotiate prices, delivery, discount terms, transportation, or other order provisions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying standardized supply regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain materials and supplies; 2) Maintaining automated supply systems to ensure accurate inventory of supplies; 3) Preparing reports to inform management of inventory and order status; 4) Processing purchase orders; 5) Receiving materials and ensure appropriate action (i.e. store or issue). Physical Demands The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required in loading and unloading cargo. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment The work is typically performed in an office setting. However, some work requires working in a warehousing environment, which involves moderate risks or discomforts and possibility of cuts, bruises from handling material. Will occasionally be required to work in hot, drafting, and unheated work area and will be exposed to dust, dirt, or fumes. Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Physical exam is required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
