Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) in Point Loma Complex, California

Responsibilities You will perform work that involves developing, delivering or supporting Information Technology (IT) systems and services. You will perform analytical and project management functions related to the execution of IT license acquisition management. You will provide software/hardware license data analysis and reporting, implement project management processes, and contributing to the development of acquisition strategies. You will provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to other technical specialists on critical IT issues. You will consult with customers to refine functional requirements and translate functional requirements into technical specifications. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NO-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform proficient analytical/project management functions related to the execution of IT license acquisition management and conduct research and analysis of IT industry trends, software license inventory & usage metrics, contract financial data, and future forecasts to establish a business case justifying the cost of awarding and maintaining an enterprise agreement. NO-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform analytical/project management functions related to the execution of IT license acquisition management and conduct research and analysis of IT industry trends, software license inventory & usage metrics, contract financial data, and future forecasts to establish a business case justifying the cost of awarding and maintaining an enterprise agreement. Education Additional Information This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NO-1/2/3/4/5/6. Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.
