Job Summary

STF is looking for a Mid to Senior Integration or Systems Engineer who possesses the experience and expertise required to support the Space Systems Command (SSC) Narrowband SATCOM Acquisition Delta (CGN) Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Program Office in providing operations integration support to the MUOS labs at Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC) Point Loma and MUOS operational users. As the MUOS labs test and further develop the MUOS Military Standard (MIL-STD) and the MUOS Waveform, it's important to do that using relevant technical and operational input to ensure engineering and lab efforts represent how the operational user will use the system. Alternatively, this will be a critical element in assisting the MUSIC and JEDI Labs in developing the integration documentation the program office is working to provide the operational users to expedite the operational transition to MUOS WCDMA operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary function will be to provide operational Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support directly to the MUOS Waveform Team and the MUSIC Lab when addressing waveform requirements, Project Work Item (PWI) operational impacts, and test procedure processes. Support JEDI Lab over-the-air (OTA) MUOS demo and integration testing. As an on-site Operations Integration SME, candidate must be able to articulate the big picture and cover technical details to effectively articulate that information to the lab/test personnel. Support CGN in waveform and MIL-STD reviews and requirements to improve operational involvement in performance and capability requirements. Support the development, testing, validation, and review of MUOS operational Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the MUOS System of Systems Technical Integration Center (MSTIC) providing SME support in assisting operational users with MUOS local-level and enterprise-level technical integration and operational issues.  

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

10 or more years experience. Tactical Systems engineering and Integration, tactical communications systems, tactical SATCOM radios, tactical networking, tactical applications, understanding of DoD SATCOM Military Standards (MIL-STD)

Education Requirements

Bachelor's if less than 6 years of work experience. 6 years of work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Salary

The minimum salary starts at $135,000 and the max is negotiable based on experience
