JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description:Job Title: Designer/Drafter Department: Engineering Reports to: Design Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Travel: Up to 20% travel may be required Locations: Plymouth, WI, Gnadenhutten, OH, Fort Madison, IA, Anderson, SC, Northbridge, MA Summary: A Designer/Drafter is responsible for collaborating with Operations and Commercial teams to provide product quoting and pricing; Creating technical drawings and plans for new products, improving, or modifying existing products, and ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure designs meet project requirements Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain project documentation and ensure all drawings are up-to-date Communicate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines are met Provide cost rollups on various projects Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements Provide assistance to design engineering and commercial teams, including travel for on-site support Other duties as assigned Requirements:Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Requirements/Work Experience Bachelor\'s degree in engineering disciplines with packaging engineering preferred Proven experience in design or drafting with 3+ years of component design experience within manufacturing environment, packaging componentry experience is preferred. Proficiency in CAD software Minimum Requirements Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently. Knowledge of industry standards/regulations and customer requirements as related to design and drafting. Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and ability to multitasking. Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical skill set and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to quickly analyze problems and develop effective solutions. Ability to quickly adapt to changes in work environment and manage competing demands. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, and other data entry, Order processing systems and Database software. Salesforce.com a plus.
