Aerotek Structural Welder in Plymouth, Minnesota

Job Title: Structural Welder

Job Description

As a Structural Welder, you will complete MIG welding on housing units. You will use blueprints to set up the overall weld, which is more custom as different size racks/houses are made. You will follow blueprints, set up, clamp and tack weld, and MIG weld the units together.

We also need someone with strong 6g tig pipe welding experience. Willing to take someone on the structural mig or tig side.

$22-$29/hr depending interview/previous experience in the trade

Responsibilities

  • Complete MIG welding on housing units.

  • Use blueprints to set up the overall weld.

  • Set up, clamp, and tack weld units together.

  • Follow blueprints for accurate welding.

  • Read blueprints and layout designs for structural welding.

Essential Skills

  • MIG welding experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Experience in structural welding.

Work Environment

You will work in a large manufacturing building, building units in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit. Although the shop is clean, expect to get dirty due to the nature of the work. There is no A/C, but fans are provided to keep the air flowing. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day.
