Job Title: Structural Welder
Job Description
Layout, fit, and weld from blueprints a variety of structural weldments using mild steel and creating casing for industrial boilers and tanks. Example of a project includes fabricating structural steel casings customized to surround a pressure vessel erected in a power plant environment. The main duties involve code piping, fit, and weld interconnecting runs that are later fit at assembly in the field, as well as code welding of boiler tubes to pressure parts.
Responsibilities
Layout, fit, and weld structural weldments using MILD Steel
Create casing for industrial boilers and tanks
Read and interpret blueprints for accurate welding and fitting
Perform code welding of boiler tubes to pressure parts
Fit and weld interconnecting runs for assembly in the field
Essential Skills
2 years of experience in Flux Core and MIG welding
Blueprint and layout experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in an industrial environment
Strongly prefer Tech School Degree in Welding but not required
Ideally someone who has TIG welded on Pip
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
