Aerotek Test Lab Technician in Plymouth, Michigan
Must Have:
2-3 yrs of automotive, mechanic, or electronic experience, preferably in a testing environment
Experienced with reading blueprints/schematics, ability to assembly off of prints
Team player, positive attitude (will be working closely with other Technicians and Engineers)
Basic computer skills (for light research)
Minimum of two years of experience in a testing laboratory or related technical field
Description:
Looking for a Test Lab Technician to join their 1st Shift.
Shift: 1st 7am - 3:30pm - consistently working 40 hrs/week. Rarely will work overtime, maybe 1-2 times a year
Candidates will be responsible for:
• Perform test setups/teardowns on laboratory test equipment
• Build test assemblies according to drawings and test specifications
• Perform measurements on test samples
• Inspect and document condition of samples after testing
• Instrument samples with thermocouples, load cells, accelerometers
• Monitor test and maintain log sheets
• Assist with identification, handling, and storage of laboratory samples
• Perform maintenance on test equipment
• Participate in EHS activities
• Support building facility activities (shipping/receiving, general maintenance, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams
• Mechanical aptitude
• People skills
• Organizational skills ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, torque wrenches and measurement tools
• Knowledge of dial indicators, micrometers and basis metrology measurements
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Basic machine shop skills, lathe, bandsaw, grinders
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
