Adient US LLC Sr Financial Analyst in Plymouth, Michigan

Sr Financial Analyst Job Responsibilities:

  • The Sr Financial Analyst will assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end closing process including preparation of manual Journal Entries and ensuring appropriate cost allocations.
  • Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary.
  • Inventory balancing and reconciling.
  • Support annual profit plan and monthly outlook updates and variances.
  • Analysis of actual performance to forecast and explanation of variances.
  • Analysis of Sales, Cost and Margin for price changes and market mix.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Audit and tracking of assets and maintaining depreciation reporting
  • Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance.  Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Processing and reconcile daily shipments and address issues as necessary.
  • Perform additional related duties and analyses as directed by the Controller.

     

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5+ Years working experience in an Accounting or Finance position, automotive industry preferred. 
  • Fluent in MS Office applications, expert in MS Excel.  Experience with MFG Pro (QAD), SAP and Hyperion applications preferred.
  • Familiarity with Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Familiar with Part number set up, Bill of Materials and Inventory preferred.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and time pressure.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings by verbal or presentation format.
