Adient US LLC Logistics Intern in Plymouth, Michigan

Key responsibilities

  • Assist logistics team in implementing strategy related to cost savings, such as container utilization and mode optimization.
  • Measure carrier compliance on new Mexican "Carta Porte" law
  • Learn the logistics and procurement portions of Supply Chain Management and understand how actions affect the plants
  • Other activities include supporting freight payment, direct and indirect procurement and 3PL management.

     

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field. 
  • Available to work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving ability 
  • Strong attention to detail, planning/organization skills and follow up
  • Proficient in MS Office
