Robert Half Accounts Payable Associate in Plymouth, Massachusetts

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Plymouth, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage the flow of invoices, complete payments, control expenses, and reconcile invoices. You will also be responsible for verifying accounts, resolving account discrepancies, maintaining financial security, and analyzing monthly credit card reports for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the flow of Accounts Payable invoices from incoming mail, approval by appropriate Manager, inputting invoices, selecting invoices currently due for payment, and final filing of invoices.

• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, coding, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports.

• Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies and process payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, and adjustments.

• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.

• Oversee AP Payment section of weekly cash flow report.

• Analyze monthly credit card reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Check Processing, Data Entry, and Purchase Orders to effectively perform duties.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in an AP role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices

• Familiarity with Check Processing and related financial transactions

• Strong Data Entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience with Purchase Orders, including creating, processing, and tracking

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
